The RGB image, I_rgb, was read using the imread function from the lena.jpg file; subsequently, the subplot(2, 2, 1) displayed the image I_rgb with the title lena-rgb. The conversion to grayscale was performed on I_rgb to generate I_gray, which was then visualized using subplot(2, 2, 2) and labeled as lena-gray. To reduce the image size by a quarter, the imresize function was employed on I_gray, resulting in a smaller image I, which was presented in subplot(2, 2, 3) and titled lena-qtr. Finally, a file pointer was established to open the lena.txt file for writing in text mode using the fopen function.
